Dear Yulegoat! This year my likes and DNWs are:

Likes: fluffy, hurt/comfort with emphasis on comfort, humor (yes put in your worst dad jokes too I adore them), fix-it (details by fandom), adventures, slice-of-life, Enthusiastic Opt-In for any non-conventional storytelling modes (1st and 2nd person, epistolary, poetry, diary, IF, any experimental work), FANART!!!, any rating from G to E, NSFW, (I should make a NSFW likes list too. Oh well) Treats are very welcome!

DNW: grimdark, main character death (canonical death mentions OK but don't kill them on screen), on-screen torture (canon mention is fine but make it fade-to-black), gore, scat/piss, non-con, underage sex, omegaverse,

On to the requests!

Mortal Engines series: Any (Anna Fang, Hester Shaw, Shrike, Tom Natsworthy)

This series is YA and it definitely shows, but All The Potential! There's so much going on between the characters and so much left unsaid (and no one is Interesting after they're no longer teens, sigh) so let's fill in the gaps!
Hester/Tom is my OTP, and anything about them (missing scenes, them flying with Anna Fang, yes even First Time, or second, or zillionth when they're older in Anchorage) is very welcome! But one of the relationships I'm most interested in is that of Shrike and Hester's. What if she had skipped the main plotline and stayed with Shrike? How would their relationship have developed? What if Shrike had gotten what he wanted and had her made a Stalker? (Was their relationship strictly familial, or was there something romantic or sexual involved? Go wild.) Or, if you wish, tell me about Shrike before he became Shrike, or after the series ended.
Also Anna's Stalker form with its two-way personalities is interesting. Explore at will. Also please include any and all of other characters in the series, I only had space for four! Valentine, Pennyroyal, Oenone Zero, Wren and Theo... I could have nommed practically everyone, but went with these four. Just don't treat them like anyone over thirty is either Dull and Boring or A Bad Guy.

Shadows of the Apt series: Any (Seda, Straessa, Cheerwell Maker, Tynisa)

...Okay, apparently all my book noms are long-as-all-fuck-series. Anyways. The worldbuilding is immaculate, the insect-kinden thing is interesting, I'm definitely disappointed the not-sea-kinden are less like the insects they associate with (feel free to fix this!) and I would have nommed a LEGION of characters had I had the space. Also I haven't yet read the whole series through (I'm at the end of War Master's Gate), but I will have done so by December, so any details happening in the last book aren't in the requests, but presume I know about them by reveals. Anyways.
Che is just lovely, and her relationship with Tynisa both before and after she became Inapt is interesting. How did she adjust herself to her sudden Inaptitude? How did she end up with her uncle to start with? What was it like to grow up in Collegium, as the niece of Stenwold Maker? More about her relationship with Achaeos? Any what-ifs and alt-universes and whatever is free real estate! Just. Don't make her go with Totho. They're my NOTP. Sorry, Totho. (If you want to put her together with Tynisa, though...)
Also Tynisa! What was it like to grow up in a family and a city where most people are presumed to be Apt? What is it like to be the Special One in your family and then have your ordinary-as-heck-sister demonstrate even greater powers? Her relationship with Tisamon? Her relationship with being a Weaponsmaster while being half-Spider? Her relationship with her scarring? (If she dies in the last book, no she didn't.) I love sibling dynamics, with or without incesty vibes, which in this case aren't biological at all.
Seda is another interesting character. We get glimpses of her before she becomes Inapt by Mosquito magic, which is an interesting plot point by itself, so feel free to explore either her abused past or her possible Apt/Inapt future. (If she dies in the last book, no she didn't.) Any what-ifs welcome. I can understand wanting power by means of surviving, and growing up in a culture where even pureblood women have very little say in their own lives is incentive enough, but how much of her power-greediness stemmed from that and how much from Uctebri's ministrations? What if she had been one of the throwback Inapt Wasps to start with? Would it even be possible to sway her into the Collegium lifestyle? What in it irks her and the Wasps so much?
And speaking of your traditional Strong Female Characters, I like Straessa. Her exceptional Antspider background (I see what you did there, Tchaikovsky, antspiders are a real thing but in the context of this story half-Ant half-Spider is... interesting) begs for a story. Who and how? Or is she a real Antspider-kinden, like the Assassin bugs? Also her and Eujen, of whom I have a Bad Feeling about, deserve each other, they're cute. Any student shenanigans are also welcome.
I don't even know what I want from this fandom, except MORE. Make me a portrait of everyone, or a series of slices-of-life, or a missing scene, or a bit of worldbuilding. Anything is welcome.

The Victorian Way: Any (Mrs Crocombe, Mary Ann, The Viewer)

I put in The Viewer, because I want to know more about the person they're supposed to be. The delightful Mrs Crocombe treats them like a familiar visitor, maybe a niece or an acquaintance, sharing gossip and recipes and tea (and probably a piece of whatever she's making that isn't going upstairs), and while the series is all about the recipes, the ordinary life of a lower-class Victorian just comes through (as intended). This is your chance to throw in all the details you know about the era, if you're so inclined! Not expecting anything that isn't in the series, but I love infodumping and needlessly detailed fics.
Also the relationship between Mrs Crocombe and Mary Ann is interesting as it develops throughout the series. What does Mary Ann think of all the menial chores she's made to do? Does she see them as necessary steps on her way to being a cook herself one day? Also I'm thinking of that one episode where she got to ram in with the huge skewer for the roast... She sure had fun there!
Sooooo let's pretend we're in the era and they're not actors, ok? Give me anything about them, a slice of life along with the pie, some more gossip over tea, and feel free to bring in any other character from the series that I didn't nom because I had limited internet at the time and couldn't check.

You Can Call Me Al (Al, Betty, Bat-faced Girl)

Yes, we all know what the lyrics really mean. But let's take them at face value. We have Al, walking down the street in a Third World country, pondering his mid-life crisis, longing for his wife and family. Is Betty really his wife, or a hired bodyguard? What happened with the roly-poly little bat-faced girl? Was she a prostitute or a vampire or just a little girl who wanted to help a funny stranger? Go wild with this, put Al in a different planet or an alien civilization if you want, or make him an agent on a mission and the Bonedigger and Mr Beerbelly are a code, or whatever!

Time Team: Any (Helen, Mick, Phil, Tony)

I have wished for Time Team before, the letters are all here, I just want more of them. Give me a behind-the-scenes, a new real or imaginary dig (crossovers welcome and encouraged, even if I didn't know the other fandom), I just want them in more digs, being themselves. Or you can give me a missing scene, or a behind-the-scenes, or whatever your heart desires. I'll never get bored of them.

Doctor Who: The Curse of Fatal Death: Any (The Doctor, Emma, The Master)

All the Doctor Who-y silliness! All the Rowan Atkinson silliness! All the Master silliness! All the silliness! So much clever storytelling gags in so little time! But I want to know what happened in the sewers during the years the Master were there and all the explanations and stuff! If the Doctor hadn'tscrewed up, which of his incarnations would have married the assistant? (also the lady Doctor was pretty hot, so yeah).

First of all, thank you for participating! You are awesome! In short, I prefer fluffy to angsty (unless specifically requested otherwise, also I love ALL! THE! PINING! and hurt/comfort), am comfortable with any kind of rating, and appreciate humor and good worldbuilding, but I'm really OK with anything! Absolute DNWs are A/B/O and explicit gore, also please no unnecessary cruelty towards animals or children. (Necessary cruelty goes with the worldbuilding. Meaning mentioning animal slaughter or illness is fine, gory details... not so much.)

Specific Wishes Are Specific:

Historical Farm

A new episode in my favorite OT3:s adventures in farming? Pick your favourite time and/or place in history, from Neolithic slash-and-burn to Viking conquest era to far future. Maybe they get a Tardis and go peek at some of the farms and eras they've covered? Or move to British Empire India to cultivate rice? Or maybe their time doubles from a few centuries in the future decide to make a 2020 Farm? (I'm expecting them to stay indoors and do All The Crafts. And banana bread. And start a balcony farm.) What would an Asteroid Habitat Farm look like? An alien world farm? Fantasy farm? Otherwise a snippet of life from any of the existing series (What got censored, and why?) would be nice.

They're my OT3, but I'm equally happy with & and /. Ruth is my favorite, so her point of view would be most appreciated, but I love the boys just as dearly.

The Nargun and the Stars

I think this was the book that made me aware of the rich lore of the Australian Aboriginal cultures. How did Charlie and Edie find Potkoorok when they were kids? Any adventures they had together? What made them stay together in the farm instead of going away or, say, marrying, was there any involvement by the original spirits? Or else, what became of the Nargun inside the mountain, did it ever get away and if so, what kind of world did it meet? Also in my head Simon, Edie and Charlie are at least partly Aboriginals, can't remember if the book said anything about it, so if it fits your story and you feel like transporting the plot that way, please do! Not in any way necessary, though, if you're like me and have never been in Australia or done any deeper research on the matter.

Emily of the New Moon

I asked for Emily and Ilse, but feel free to drop in the boys too. I'd love an adventure from their childhood, or youth, or young adulthood, or even after their prospective marriages (if that happened in your story - I'm okay with them ending up together too!) Something light-hearted and characteristic (and funny, you can't avoid funny with Ilse!) or something a bit darker and gloomier - think Emily's second sight or Ilse's temper. As long as it ends well, I'm fine! I love the eerie spookiness of old houses and unsolved mysteries that Emily often bumps into, and the beauty of her vision of nature, and Ilse's level-headed rashness (if there be such a thing) and joie de vivre. (Also Let! Ilse! Swear!) I think I've wished for Emily before, here's a link to my former letter if you want some other ideas: https://pikkugen.dreamwidth.org/144669.html

I've been Very Good this year, and here's my wish list!

Dinner For One:
My long-time favorite thing to watch on the New Year's Eve, with all its comedic turns and the characters who manage to convey a full party all by themselves. I'd love to meet the four guests as they were when Sophie knew them. How faithful is James's portrayal of them? Was any of them her lover before, well, James took their place? Who died first, and whose idea was it that James should pick his glass and perform the full toasting? I'd love to see them in their late middling years or older, when they have known each other for decades and have no use for the decorum of the society (except for the table manners, obviously.) And why was it that Sophie never married anyone? (Also why does James always knock the tiger pelt, is it an old one or perhaps a new acquisition?)

The Lair of the White Worm:
I saw this earlier this year and laughed myself silly. Sure, it's a Grave And Perilous Tale of a Terrible White Worm terrorizing a poor village, but the characters are hilariously 80's. So what happened to poor Angus after he was bitten, did he turn into a worm or perhaps a priest without a god creature to worship? (Did he begin a cult of Bagpipes? I ship him and the bagpipes.) How did Sylvia begin her career as the Snake Priestess? Did James and Eve have to confront their old friend again? Any shenanigans welcome, especially if the bagpipes are included.

Jeeves:
Someone trying to marry off old Bertie again? He has another hideous sartorial item that Jeeves hates? Is there a sudden invasion of flesh-eating flowers in Madeline's greenhouses, or an attack of zombie horses in Honoria's stables? Or perhaps Jeeves has Had It at last and leaves poor Bertie in a pickle... only to regret and return in time to save his skin from the fighting ladies? I ship Jeeves and Wooster and would love to see something happen, but if you don't it's not necessary. I love Wodehouse's style, so any attempt thereof is greatly appreciated.

Generally anything funny, fluffy, witty, scary, whatever you like to write, just don't use overt violence, A/B/O dynamics, or over-the-top bullying/torture, and we're fine. Have fun, it always shows in the writing. On this blog there should be some old Yuletide letters if you want to check, I tend to wish same kinds of things Every Year. Thank you!

I've been very nice this year, believe it or not, and here are my wishes for this Yuletide!

Uprooted - Naomi Novik

I asked for Agnieszka, Kasia, Queen Hanna and the Wood-queen. Please give me the sweet lesbian romance that was hinted at for the whole book! I have nothing against Sarkan, but gimme the girls. I don't care if it's during their youth or after the main story, just. gimme. Also what's the deal with Queen Hanna and the Wood-queen? How did Hanna's and Kasia's transformations happen and what was the point, other than luring more victims to the forest? Cookies for more beautifully haunting forest scenery porn and hedge-witchery.

Jeeves - P. G. Wodehouse

Any silliness between our favourite gentleman and his manservant, including Aunt Agatha's plotting and Jeeves's thwarting of said plots! Bonus cookies for hideous sartorial items and any random characters you care to drop in. (I love Wodehouse's language, just FYI, and I'd welcome any other person's point of view too, since we don't get much of those.)

Emily of the New Moon

How about an AU where she chose the Japanese prince? Could be a modern one, could be a period one, could be (dammit I promised I'd never say it aloud) an anime one... That particular case in Emily's romantic history was so short, hauntingly beautiful, and quite titillating. Culture shock? Relatives on his side? Yes please!

Otherwise I love all kinds of fics. I'm not a fan of over-the-top violence or gore, and A/B/O-dynamics are a squick of mine, so none of that, please. I like humor, plotting, worldbuilding, character-driven stories and fluff, and I'm really pretty easy. I'm not opposed to neither mature themes nor G-rated fics, so anything you feel comfortable with is fine for me. Have fun, and thanks for participating! You win the Yuletide!
